Blended Beauty Product Reviews.

When I say Gi, you say Dore. Gidore, Gidore! Nearly two weeks ago I got two Beauty Blend products from Gidore and can I just say I haven't been that impressed from a company in a long while! Not only did it come in lighting speed like their undercover name is Speed Lighting but the way they packaged the products made me 'Aww' out loud! It was mega emosh, could have shed a tear LOL I took a picture. I love it when people pay attention to detail. E.g I say "I'm a strong person but shoes are my weakness" however I would choose a letter or a drawing than Loubies anyday (Ikr!) I feels totes (totally) dodge (dodgy) saying that but I'm a sucker for the 'thought' of something rather than the 'thing' itself. So anyways back to the purpose of this blogpost, #CawrBlimes I have a tendency of going off on a tangent (Maths #OhGosh!). It was bootyfurl, ribbon and all sorts! So thanks Gidore :)

So now for the content, OMG #GASP #INHALE #EXHALE! Makes my curls Pop like my first name is Coco! I know it may seem like I'm a little bit loco, 'a little' as they say in Spain "Un Poco" :)
The products have similar ingredients, the Happy Nappy Styles just has a thicker consistency. I'd suggest getting both for that reason as it's also #MegaReem to have the option! Like when you wash your hair I'd say detangle with the 'SilkShake' as it's not as thick as 'Happy Nappy Styles' and it feels amazing on damp hair but vice versa! I tried them both on damp and dry hair and they're so good. Ask my sister, I tried all different sections of my hair with different variations in the space of two weeks In Marbs (Marbella)! I'm actually writing this on my way to the airport back to the UK :/
Product variations: e.g product&water (sprayed first), product&oil (sealed after), product on its own, product&baggy - none of them failed me. Of course it depends on your hair type, In general type 3 don't normally seal as much as type 4 as the more naturally occuring sebum (oil on scalp) generation. I'm 4A, so super coily, kinky and so imagine sebum trying to spiral round each coil, donkey years much? So products like Blended Beauty make all us naturals (type 3 AND type 4!) hair smile :)

Ingredients:

Happy Nappy Styles: Aloe and Chamomile Water, Rice Bran Oil, Shea Butter, Natural Conditioner, Polysorbate 20, Vegetable Glycerin, Capryl Isostearate, Soy Lecithin,Guar Gum, Natural Preservative Optiphin, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Silk Powder.

SilkShake: Aloe Water, Vegetable Glycerine, Capryl Isostearate, Rice Bran oil , Natural Conditioner, Natural Preservative Optiphen, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Soy Protein, Silk Powder.

The fact that the first ingredient is water enriched with aloe means that the acidity will be around 4-5 which is purrrfect, any product with aloe vera is doing our hair good. People know aloe vera for healing/repairing and that's what it does! The pH means that it'll contribute to closing cuticles and MAKING (not just making 'appear') hair smooth and healthy. Second ingredient Vegetable Glycerin (humectant) is amazing as the ingredient in raw form alone is exceedingly moisturising so imagine a cream with Shea Butter AND other extra goodies!

See my post about pH to see that this product is perfect for our hair and by our hair I don't just mean naturals! In Marbella, I had the creams on the tabletop and my sister, mum, cousin and aunty (who miraculously forget their creams! haha) used them too. Particularly my Aunty (relaxed) said that the Happy Nappy Styles made her hair "smooth and soft, straight away!" #AlliterationMuch? :) my picky and hard to please sister and cousin who are relaxed couldn't get enough of it, they said it was "really good" (they're 13 and 14 - I wasn't exactly expecting an essay either!). Silks hake is in a sort of spray bottle but the content is of a liquid-y creamy consistency so at first use it may take a few mins to get around working out how to open it! There's a lock and unlock 'button' - it just takes a few presses after unlocking to pump it up. Pump pump pump it up! :)

Seriously I started with no initial expectations, reading the ingredients I knew it'll be good for my hair I just didn't expect it to be THIS good. I tested something, I cornrowed a bit of the back of my hair (after putting some Blended Beauty on). Normally I try to moisturise daily but for testing purposes, I left the cornrow as it was (my hair is big enough to cover it!) and days later it still felt as if I just put on the cream 30 secs ago. Honestly, in my whole hair journey, I have never experienced such sustained moisture!
