    Green House Effect (GHE)

    - ANNOUNCEMENT (21/11/2013): I've started You'Tubing! I will be doing a video on the Green House Effect VERY SOON, showing you comparisons and the huge amount of growth I got IF I get enough subscribers and requests so pleaseee click here to subscribe to BOOTYFURL on Youtube! No, I'm not going all environmental on you! The Green House Effect is a method in hair care where you promote hair growth naturally and restore moisture by simply locking in the moisture (via natural heat). Confused? I'll explain. Simply and literally, all you do is trap the heat by putting on a plastic cap and then adding layers! Layers? Yes layers (it's winter, go crazy!): scarfs, hats, another plastic cap maybe? Be creative! It is not the GHE unless you further secure the initial heat because as you can imagine the moisture stays in your hair as it has nowhere to go (sad, I know!).

Products you may use: any carrier oil on your HAIR, e.g. coconut oil / olive oil - GHE should stimulate natural oil from your scalp. You may also find that you don't need to reapply oils every night but just the plastic cap / scarf (as the GHE is great in re-activating moisture). Such nights, you can spray a squirt (literally) of water and then proceed with the plastic cap. You do not have to wash the oil out as all it's doing is benefiting your hair and stimulating growth but if you feel as though it's too heavy for your hair type, feel free to wash it off the next morning!

Quick stats: my hair is Type 4 and Natural however this technique can be used on all hair types.

    1. I've tried this overnight once or twice, but I think the sulfur I have mixed with my oils made it a little itchy. I have done it when I get in from work and after only a half hour, can see and feel the difference.

      1. What else do you mix with your sulphur?

    2. I do this everynight because otherwise the oils in my hair soak through the headscarf, so I know this definitely works. Because of this method along with protective styling I only need to moisturise twice a week.

      1. You bed to let your hair dry in the morning before putting on the lace front. It will be damp/wet.
