Best iPad Apps 2013 - Absolute Necessities.

11:53

As of now, I cannot live without my iPad. I love it. Like seriously. It's about time I tell you my fave apps and why my iPad has taken over laptops and computers. I hope this blog can help you save time and money and be on your way to achieving your goals!

Okay let's get started. As you know, I blog :) I just absolutely love photography. In love. When we were younger, my mother would carry a camera EVERYWHERE and take pics/vids of us doing EVERYTHING. It's true, pictures are worth 1000 words. I love memories. In love. If it weren't for my iPad, it would literally take me FOREVER to do what takes me minute with my iPad. I become such a perfectionist when it comes to blogging, I really just want everything to be perfect for all my beautiful readers so some of the following apps really are life savers.

I literally self-voluntarily RESEARCH photography jargon all the time.. (yes yes I can be lame, apologies) and know I feel as though I know quite a bit now, and would you like to know where this love stemmed from? Genuinely because of 'iPhoneoghy iOS' (or iPadography shall I say) apps! When I first got an iPhone/iPad a few years ago, I was latched onto the App Store and AMAZED at all the opportunities to learn new things and potentially create masterpieces. You could save money with iOS apps as opposed to buying photo editing software that will set you back hundreds. Not just photography though, the possibilities with the iPad are endless. Here are some apps I've fallen in love with:

1. Adobe Photoshop Touch - £6.99 - erm who needs the desktop Photoshop anyway? There's a Celine handbag calling my name instead! ;) joke I'm more of a shoes girl myself!
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

"OMG Jennifer you've got an identical twin and you both wear identical outfits!?" erm nope, not that I know of but I do know that to edit this pic took me a few minutes! "Shut up, no it did not" I'm being totally serious! "Jennifer, are you talking to yourself?" Maybeeeee, #awks haha but anyway yeah, we all know how slow laptops and computers are sometimes, I could not even begin to imagine trying to anything like this on those anymore. Have you ever written something on Word and/or edit a pic on even Paint and then it freezes? OMG those situations broke my heart! Tablets are just super fast and easy so the time it saves is unbelievable!

I know £6.99 may seem pricey compared to typical apps but don't worry, I've got an alternative for you below m'dears :)

2. iPhoto £2.99 - Save hundreds (compared with Photoshop) and cheaper alternative to the iPad Photoshop (above).
To cut a long story short: I can turn an iPhone pic into a potential for a glossy mag! By the time I'm done, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, I promise :)

3. Dropbox / Photoshop Free - Save hundreds (compared with buying physical storage)
External hard drive? Womp womp! Save and back up all your pictures on Dropbox or Photobucket! Quick and Easy, I've used these for years :)

4. Hairstyle App £1.69 (Save yourself money and trouble from a new hairstyle you may not like!)
Okay this next one is so random but so cool at the same time. You can literally try out lots of hairstyles/haircolours using a picture of yourself. Nearly two years ago, I had dark purple hair and if it wasn't for this app I probably wouldn't have gone for it!

5. Pic Stitch / Pic Collage Free - Save time and money!
I love sharing my tips with you guys. Coming up is an example of how I used these two apps together to create a unique collage (I like to call a "Hint Of Red"). If it weren't for these free apps, I would literally have no idea where to start! Think about it, you can create your own collages and get them printed! Or maybe make some for your friends as gifts :)

6. GarageBand - £2.99 - Want to be the next Guetta?! Well fear not mi amigos, with GarageBand you can be on your wayyy. We've all seen the Apple adverts, I just knew that when I got my iPad that this would be the numero uno app that I downloaded :)

So what is GarageBand I hear you ask? Well you can only go and make music. Yes. "What do you mean make music Jennifer?" well you know how you hear numero unos on the radio, well potentially you could make one of those. Exciting right?! Also, you can create ringtones for your iPhone, no more ringtones from 1920s! COOLER THAN HARRY POTTER if you ask me ;)

7. Notes - Free - Got thoughts, ideas? Got a lecture and forgot your paper? Fear not! The Notes app is here and is here to say!

I actually have other "Microsoft Office" like apps which I've paid for but ultimately, it always all comes down to the Notes app. Any idea, any blog post, any rant - that's where they all go. Let's compare and contrast, I have written "2990 notes" - what about you? :)

8. Find iPhone Free - OMG this is like one of the best iPhone Apps I've ever had like ever. It's saved me like £500 plus crazy amounts of time. Save yourself money and trouble and that stress/anxiety that can be caused from potentially losing your phone.
How cool is this!? If you misplace your iPhone or iPad, you can use this to locate it. Simples. You can make it play a loud re-ocurring sound ("how do you know Jennifer?" well let's just say I can be a wee bit clumsy!) or you still can't find it, you can literally see exact where it is on the map and if you think someone's taken it, you can erase your device! So at least you won't have any dodgy people with all your stuff like beautiful pictures you've editted with the apps I've suggested ;)

So guess what? I went through writing this whole post and then realised that MSM smartly named it "APPsolute Necessities" but I've been writing "ABsolute Necessities" #awkward #awks #cringe #AppNotAb #GoldStarsForMoneySuperMarket #Kudos #OhGosh.. Maybe I should search for a Specsavers app..

Jenny ;)
