How does one become a #GirlBoss? What even is a Girl Boss? Well 'Girl Boss' is a term that was coined by Nasty Gal owner Sophia Amoruso after an abundance of success!
I recently completed a masters at the University of East Anglia, it was a challenging but exceedingly rewarding experience! The masters was MSc Marketing and I had previously completed a BSc Economics at my previous university for anyone who's interested! :)
When I was there, I took a society from 2 years dormant to thriving and that society was my baby, the UEA Entrepreneurs Society! I also started a UEA Fashion Society! That being said, I was the president of two societies, the UEA Entrepreneur Society and the UEA Fashion Society, whilst doing a fulltime masters, it was hard but it was great and wonderful and the best and sooo rewarding and I won awards at the Union Awards 2015!
This was all the way in June hence why I'm wearing a dress, though we have been having an Indian Summer in October so I should totes wear it again right?!
What I used to tell every single student entrepreneur was to believe in themselves. You too should BELIEVE IN YOURSELF whether you want to be an entrepreneur or not! It's sooo important! It's hard I know, I still find it so hard to believe in myself too, everyday but we can support each other and remind one another. If you have a goal, a dream, GO FOR IT! You can do it, honestly!
Right this moment, I want you to write your dream on a piece of paper, or the notes section of your phone to be more semi eco friendly, and underneath it, write one thing you can do right this moment to achieve your goals or at least become one step closer. They said a goal without an action is just a wish, so today is the right moment to start. Right now.
So there you have it! In my opinion, the first steps to being a #GirlBoss is to BELIEVE IN YOURSELF (you are great, you are wonderful, you are the best) and then create actionable steps in order to reach your ultimate goal.
