15:04

Hello beautiful! Today is a #TravelThursday and a #ThrowbackThursday too with the pics, can you remember what country this is? Gold stars for whoever recalls correctly! Haha without further ado, I present to you, the best apps for Travel in 2015!

Remembering to bring your smartphone on holiday these days is almost as important as bringing your passport. With the right apps installed, a phone is a traveller’s best friend, helping you make the most of your trip!
So sit back, put your phone on charge, and take a look through my first of many lists of the best apps for travelling.
Skyscanner
As 35 million travellers’ first choice, Skyscanner compares thousands of flights from hundreds of airlines in only a few seconds. The handy app makes booking flights easy and is essential for finding cheap holidays. There may be apps which look fancier, however when it comes to flight comparison Skyscanner is reliable, trustworthy and incredibly simple to use.
TripAdvisor
Launched by the world’s largest travel website, the TripAdvisor app helps travellers find restaurants, hotels and attractions with amazing convenience. The most outstanding feature on the app, is the enormous list of honest reviews and suggestions gathered by the world’s largest travel community. The app also provides a standalone offline map and ‘Near Me’ feature, enabling users to discover options in the nearby vicinity.
Foodspotting
Foodspotting is a foodies dream app! This visually appealing app has a lovely visual interface, guiding users to the most authentic delicacies in a given location. The app’s growing community of food lovers post ratings and reviews which offer invaluable insights into the best restaurants and specific dishes nearby.
Google Maps
Google Maps is considered a must-have app for travel. Using a paper map seems almost prehistoric compared to Google Maps’ innovative GPS system. For those of you who are directionally-challenged, this useful app will track your position and provide the fastest route to any destination you enter. Make sure your version is the most up-to-date, and save the directions to your phone to navigate offline. It is important to note that countries such as China block Google Maps, so do your research before travelling to avoid any wrong turns.
Booking.com
Booking.com is dedicated to helping customers with varying budgets find the best accommodation for their requirements. With this free app, reserve a room without the need of a credit card, and manage your booking with ease. The app even works offline so you can sync the account information both in app and on desktop.
These apps are a great way to discover more of the place you are visiting, as well as making the trip smooth and hassle-free. Just remember to check your data plan before you travel. You don’t want shocking bill waiting for you when you return! Well that's unless you've got Feel At Home on the Three Network meaning you can use your data, calls and minutes just as if you were in England! I'm heading to Spain in a few days and SUPER excited to use it!! Until next time my bonita bellas!
Yours sincerely,
Jennifer Agwunobi
